FROZEN BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES 7 c. thinly sliced cucumbers 1 c. coarsely chopped onion 1 c. coarsely chopped green pepper 1 3/4 c. sugar 1 c. white vinegar 1 Tbsp. salt 1 Tbsp. celery seed Mix sugar until it melts with the vinegar, salt and celery seed. Pour over cucumbers, onions and peppers. In large bowl, put plate on top to hold vegetables in brine, let stand 1 1/2 hours. Pack in containers and freeze. Will always be crispy.
