COTTAGE CHEESE SALAD / GOLDEN NUGGET SALAD (Easy Pineapple Salad / Shower Salad) 1 (12 oz.) carton cottage cheese 1 pkg. sugar-free or regular Jell-O (any flavor) 1/2 carton Dream Whip (9 to 12 oz.) 1 (20 oz.) can chunk pineapple, drained 1 (11 oz.) can Mandarin oranges, drained Note: May substitute fruit cocktail, pears, fresh oranges or other fruit for Mandarin oranges. May use only one kind of fruit, such as strawberries with strawberry Jell-O. Sprinkle Jell-O over the cottage cheese and mix well. Mix in the drained oranges and pineapple. Mix in Cool Whip. Make the day before, or at least 2 hours before serving. Chill well. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
