SPECIAL HOLIDAY SALAD 6 large apples, chopped 6 bananas, sliced 4 stalks celery, chopped 1 (9 oz.) can pineapple tidbits, drained 1/2 lb. marshmallows, cut 1 c. seedless grapes 1 c. nuts, chopped 1 (8 oz.) carton large curd cottage cheese 1 c. whipped cream, sweetened and flavored with vanilla 2 (3 oz.) pkg. Jell-O (either orange and lime or red and lime) 1 3/4 c. water (Use orange and lime Jell-Os for Thanksgiving and red and lime Jell-Os for Christmas.) Prepare gelatin with water and chill. Cut into cubes. Toss fruits, marshmallows, celery, cottage cheese, nuts and whipped cream together. Combine with gelatin cubes. Makes 12 servings.
