SNICKERDOODLES 1 c. shortening 2 eggs 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 3/4 c. flour 2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. salt Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Sift togeth- er the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Stir into first mixture. Chill dough. Roll into balls the size of a walnut and roll into a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees until lightly brown. Makes 3 dozen 2 inch cookies.
