CINNAMON STREUSEL CAKE

1/2 c. nuts
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 apple
1 c. sour cream

Mix in a small bowl the nuts, cinnamon and sugar. In a
larger bowl, cream the 1 cup of sugar and the 1/2 cup of
butter. Add eggs and vanilla; sift together and add flour,
salt, baking powder and soda. Alternate 1 cup of sour cream.
Pour half of the batter into a tube pan, then put sliced apple
and half of the sugar nut mixture on top. Then put remaining
batter over this and sprinkle the other half of the sugar nut
mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
