APPLESAUCE CAKE 3 c. sifted flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cloves 1 c. butter 2 eggs 1 c. raisins 1 1/2 tsp. soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 c. thick applesauce Cream butter and sugar; add the eggs and applesauce, then the sifted dry ingredients and the raisins last. Pour into a greased and floured pan (13 x 9-inches). Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees approximately 1 hour. Test with tooth- pick.
