CARAMEL CORN

2 c. brown sugar
2 sticks oleo
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Karo syrup
6 c. popped corn
1/2 tsp. baking soda
nuts, if desired

Mix together in saucepan brown sugar, oleo, salt and
Karo syrup. Bring to a boil. Boil 5 minutes, stirring occa-
sionally. Remove from heat. Add baking soda. Pour over
popped corn. Mix well. Add nuts if desired. Put on buttered
baking sheets. Bake at 250 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and store in
airtight container.
