MERINGUE KISSES

3 egg whites
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped pecans

Beat egg whites until frothy. Add salt and cream of
tartar. Beat egg whites until they stand in moist peaks.
Gradually add sugar, beating well after each addition. Add
vanilla and mix. Fold in nuts. Drop by teaspoons onto well
greased cookie sheet. Bake at 275 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
