PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. white sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 egg, well beaten 1 3/4 c. flour Cream butter and peanut butter. Add sugars gradually, beating until fluffy. Add egg and flour. This will be very stiff. With fingers, form into hickory nut size balls. Place on a greased cookie sheet 1 1/2 to 2-inches apart. With tines of a fork, flatten dough in a crisscross pattern. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Yields 3 1/2 dozen.
