SUGAR COOKIES 1/2 c. Crisco 1 c. sugar 1 egg 1/2 c. salad oil 1 tsp. vanilla little salt 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. cream of tartar 2 1/2 c. flour Mix Crisco and sugar well, add the rest of the ingredi- ents. Chill a little while. Make into 7-inch balls and set on cookie sheet. Flatten with a glass which has been set in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees about 12 minutes.
