1 Tbsp. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. melted butter
1 Tbsp. flour
2 beef bouillon cubes
dissolved in 2 c. hot water

Saute onion in butter; add flour and stir until well
done but not dark; add beef bouillon slowly, stirring constant-
ly until it gets thick enough to suit. Add a little basil or
bay leaves, if you like it. Pour over steak and serve both
with hot biscuits.
