LAYERED SALAD 1 head lettuce, torn in pieces 1 can green peas, drained green onions, chopped 1 can water chestnuts, sliced 8 boiled eggs, chopped 1 lb. bacon, cooked until crisp 1 carton sour cream 1 c. salad dressing 1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix (Original or Green Goddess) Layer in order: lettuce, peas, onions, water chestnuts, eggs. Use large bowl or 13 x 9-inch pan. Mix sour cream, salad dressing and dressing mix. Spread over salad and chill. Before serving, crumble bacon over top. Will keep for several days.
