COLD SPICED FRUIT 2 sliced, seeded and unpeeled oranges 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks 1 (16 oz.) can sliced peaches 1 (16 oz.) can apricot halves 1 (29 oz.) can pears 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. vinegar 3 sticks cinnamon or more 5 whole cloves or more 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry jello Cut orange slices in half. Place in pot and cover with water. Simmer until rind is tender. Drain well and set aside. Drain canned fruit. Reserve all of the pineapple juice, half of peach and half of apricot. Combine reserved juice, sugar, vinegar, cinnamon, cloves and gelatin; simmer 30 minutes. Combine fruit including orange slices and put in 9-cup contain- er. Pour hot mixture over fruit. Refrigerate 24 hours. Serves 15.
