1 head lettuce, shredded
1 small can or pkg. English
peas (raw)
1 onion, shredded
1 c. celery
1 bell pepper
1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. sugar
4 oz. sharp cheese, grated
8 strips cooked bacon,

Layer the lettuce, peas, onion, celery and bell pepper;
then sprinkle sugar on the top. Cover and seal edges with
mayonnaise. Let stand in refrigerator overnight. Then add
cheese and bacon. Then toss.
