TOMATO MARINARA SAUCE

2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
1 small onion
1/2 c. water
1 small can tomato paste
1 small clove garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. basil
dash of sugar
1 tsp. oil
1 small can tomato sauce

Put 1 teaspoon oil in large skillet. Heat well. Fry
onion until brown. Add all remaining ingredients and squish
tomatoes. Cook on low heat for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring
occasionally.
