LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD

1 head lettuce
1/2 c. fresh green onions or 1
small onion, sliced
1/2 c. diced green pepper
1/2 c. diced celery
1 can of peas, drained
1 pt. salad dressing
4 oz. mild Cheddar cheese,
shredded
1/2 lb. fried, drained,
crumbled bacon

Fill bowl half full with cut up lettuce, then layer with
ingredients in the order listed: onions, green pepper, celery,
peas, salad dressing, cheese and bacon. Cover and chill
overnight. Toss when ready to serve. Serves 6 to 8.
