1 small pkg. lemon Jell-O
2 tsp. vinegar
3/4 c. diced red apples
2 c. hot water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. diced celery, salted
1/4 c. broken walnut meats

Dissolve Jell-O in hot water. Add vinegar and 1/4
teaspoon of the salt. Pour thin layer in mold and chill until
firm. Chill remaining Jell-O until slightly thickened.
Combine apples, celery, nuts and remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt
and fold into slightly thickened Jell-O. Turn into mold over
firm layer. Chill until firm. Unmold on crisp lettuce and
serve with mayonnaise. Makes 6 servings.
