SPINACH SALAD

1 lb. fresh spinach
1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts,
drained, sliced
4 hard cooked eggs, sliced
small red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp and
crumbled
1 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/4 to 1/2 c. cashews
(optional)

Tear clean, crisp, thoroughly dried spinach into a large
bowl. Toss with other ingredients.

Dressing:
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. salad oil
1/3 c. catsup
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Combine ingredients for dressing in jar. Cover and
shake well. At serving time pour dressing over salad. Toss
lightly until spinach leaves are well coated. Serve immediate-
ly.
