STEAK SOUP (For Two Or Three) 1 1/2 lb. ground round or chuck steak 2 Tbsp. butter 1 c. diced onion 1 c. diced celery 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 Tbsp. m.s.g. (optional) 1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables (24 oz.) salt and black pepper 1 c. diced carrots 2 qt. water 1 can diced tomatoes 2 Tbsp. beef base Saute steak in butter. Cook onion and celery 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. After boiling starts, turn to simmer 45 minutes. Mix 1 stick soft margarine with 1 cup flour. Drop by teaspoonfuls, stirring constantly, until all is mixed well. Simmer 5 minutes.
