POPPY SEED DRESSING 1 c. salad oil 1/2 c. sugar 1/3 c. cider vinegar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 Tbsp. onion, grated 1 Tbsp. poppy seed Using hand beater, blend all ingredients together. Dressing will be thick. (Use chilled oil or otherwise dressing will not thicken.) Store in tightly covered jar in refrigera- tor. Stir well before using. Serve dressing on Nape cabbage, tossed greens, fruit salad or cottage cheese. Can be made 1 week ahead. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
