RED, RED CHILI SAUCE 18 large ripe tomatoes, or 3 1/2 qt. peeled, cored and chopped tomatoes 2 red sweet peppers, seeded and chopped 2 medium to large onions, chopped 1 1/2 c. white sugar 2 tsp. salt 2 c. vinegar 1 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices in cheesecloth ball Peel, core and chop tomatoes, peppers and onions in blender. Combine with remaining ingredients and simmer 3 to 4 hours until thickened. Seal in pints. Yield: 9 to 12 pints.
