VEGETABLE SOUP 1 soup bone 3 qt. water 2 c. beans (lima, green) 2 c. corn 2 c. chopped cabbage 1/2 c. turnips 1/2 c. carrots 1 c. diced onions salt and pepper to taste 1 1/2 c. potatoes 1 c. tomato sauce Wash bone thoroughly; add water and seasoning. Boil 2 hours. Skim excess fat and add vegetables, except potatoes. Cook vegetables 30 to 45 minutes (until tender) then add potatoes. Let simmer until potatoes are tender. Add tomato sauce and let cool slightly before eating.
