VEGETABLE SOUP

4 lb. stew meat, cut into
1-inch cubes
3 Tbsp. oil
2 onions, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
2 c. okra, chopped
2 c. corn
4 c. tomatoes
4 potatoes, sliced
2 to 3 qt. water
salt and pepper to taste

Brown meat in oil, add all other ingredients, cook
slowly over low heat approximately 2 hours. Yields approxi-
mately 8 quarts.
