CREAMY BROCCOLI SOUP

1 pkg. frozen broccoli
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped onions
2 Tbsp. flour
2 c. chicken broth
1 pt. half and half
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Cut up and cook broccoli until tender. Drain and
reserve liquid. Melt butter and cook onion until tender. Stir
in flour; add broth and cook, stirring, until mixture boils.
Add 1 cup reserved liquid, half and half, sauce and salt.
Stir. Add broccoli and heat to boiling. Add cheese before
serving.
