GERMAN POTATO SALAD 6 to 8 potatoes 1 large onion 4 to 5 strips bacon 3 Tbsp. flour 1/2 c. water 1/2 c. vinegar 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 to 1 tsp. salt caraway, dill or celery seed Boil potatoes. Cut 4 to 5 strips bacon and fry. Saute onion in bacon grease. Set cooked bacon and onion aside. To bacon grease add flour, water, vinegar, sugar and salt. Stir and boil 5 minutes. Add bacon and onion. Pour over potatoes. Caraway, dill or celery seed may be added. Serve hot.
