GERMAN POTATO SALAD 6 slices bacon 3/4 c. finely chopped onions 2 Tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt pepper to taste 1/2 tsp. celery seed 2/3 c. water 5 Tbsp. cider vinegar 4 medium boiling potatoes, cooked, peeled and sliced Fry bacon until crisp. Remove. Let drain, crumble and set aside. Add onions to bacon drippings. Cook 5 minutes until onion is transparent. Stir in flour, sugar, salt, pepper and celery seed. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir in water and vinegar and cook until mixture begins to boil. Add potatoes and bacon, stirring gently to coat with sauces.
