GERMAN POTATO SALAD 2 c. water 1/3 c. vinegar 1/2 c. sugar 1 Tbsp. salt 3 Tbsp. cornstarch 1/2 c. diced cooked bacon with drippings onion celery parsley 2 qt. cooked hot potatoes Place 1 1/2 cups water, vinegar, salt and sugar in bacon drippings. Heat to boiling. Mix cornstarch with remaining 1/2 cup water and add to first mixture. Boil until thick. Stir in bacon. Mix in 2 quarts potatoes. Add rest of ingredients. P. S.
