LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD 1 large head lettuce 2 large carrots, shredded 1 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded 1 c. cut celery 1 c. chopped green pepper 1 large chopped onion 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas 1/2 lb. diced, cooked bacon 1 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing Layer all ingredients but mayonnaise in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Frost with mayonnaise and garnish with more shredded cheese. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. May toss before serving, if desired.
