BETTY'S LAYERED SALAD

1 large lettuce head
1/2 c. green pepper
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/4 c. chopped onion
4 or 5 boiled eggs
6 to 8 strips crisp fried
bacon
1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen green
peas
1 c. mayonnaise

Place cut up lettuce in large salad bowl. Layer each
ingredient as listed in order in the bowl: lettuce, green
pepper, celery, onion, eggs, bacon, peas and mayonnaise. When
the last ingredient is put in, which would be the mayonnaise,
then add: 1 cup grated cheese (American or Cheddar). This salad
can be fixed at evening and served the next day.
