HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 6 to 8 potatoes, boiled in jackets 6 slices bacon 3 Tbsp. bacon drippings 2 Tbsp. flour 3/4 c. chopped onion 6 Tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. celery seed 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 c. water 1/2 c. vinegar In small saucepan combine bacon fat with flour. Blend in sugar, salt, celery seed, pepper, water, onion and vinegar. Heat to boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Pour over sliced potatoes in baking dish and top with crumbled bacon. Should be hot to be good. Place in 400 degrees oven for 20 minutes. Serves 8 to 10. Delicious.
