MARINATED VEGETABLE SALAD

1 c. sugar
3/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (16 oz.) can French style
green beans, drained
1 (17 oz.) can green peas,
drained
1 (12 oz.) can Shoe Peg corn,
drained
1 (2 oz.) jar diced pimiento,
drained
1 c. chopped celery
1 green pepper, finely chopped
1 bunch green onions, chopped

Combine sugar, vinegar, vegetable oil, pepper and salt
in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve
sugar. Cool. Combine vegetables and stir in vinegar mixture.
Cover and chill at least 8 hours, stirring occasionally.
Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
