COLE SLAW 1 medium cabbage, shredded 1 tsp. salt 1 c. white vinegar 1/4 c. water 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. mustard seed 1 tsp. celery seed Let cabbage and salt sit for 1 hour. Squeeze out all the water from the cabbage. Grated carrots and/or green peppers (diced) may be added. Bring to a boil the vinegar, water, sugar, mustard seed and celery seed and let cool. Pour the cooled brine over all and refrigerate. Freezes well.
