SLAW 1 c. vinegar 1 tsp. mustard 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. celery seed 1 large head cabbage 1 large onion 3/4 c. sugar In large bowl, shred 1 large head of cabbage (2 1/2 to 3 pounds), then thinly slice one medium onion into rings. Sprinkle 3/4 cup sugar over cabbage and onion. Toss together lightly and set aside. Mix vinegar, mustard, salt, sugar and celery seed in saucepan. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat. Mix in 1 cup of salad oil. Spoon over cabbage and onion. Cover and let stand at least 24 hours.
