SWEETHEART SALAD 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple 1/2 c. sugar juice of 1/2 lemon 2 Tbsp. Knox gelatine 1/4 c. cold water 2 small pkg. cream cheese 1 small bottle maraschino cherries 1/2 pt. cream Heat pineapple. Add sugar and lemon. Soak gelatine in water, then add pineapple mixture. Mash cream cheese and mix with cherries (chopped). Add to pineapple and gelatin mixture and let stand until it sets. Fold in cream (whipped) and serve on lettuce with mayonnaise (add a little cherry juice to mayonnaise, if desired).
