FESTIVE MARASCHINO CHERRY FRUIT SALAD 16 oz. jar maraschino cherries 1 can mandarin oranges 1 can sliced peaches 1 can pineapple tidbits 1 can fruit cocktail 1 or 2 c. pecan pieces 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese 1 pkg. sour cream Garnish: 1 can pineapple rings 1 (4 oz.) jar maraschino cherries 1/4 c. green candied pineapple pieces Drain and reserve syrup from cherries in a separate container. Cut cherries in half. Open mandarin oranges, peaches, pineapple and fruit cocktail and drain well (reserve juices). You may want to cut peaches and oranges into smaller pieces. Mix softened cream cheese with sour cream. In a large mixing bowl, stir cream into fruit. Add bright red syrup from cherries to mixture to turn cream a pretty pink. Add nuts and marshmallows and stir. If necessary, add a little of the leftover fruit juice to get a desirable consistency. Pour into a decorative crystal fruit bowl. Optional: Garnish with pineapple rings, whole cherries and green candied pineapple pieces.
