ONION SOUP 2 c. chopped onions 1/4 c. oleo beef soup base 2 qt. water bread slice Provolone cheese Fry onions in oleo until soft. Add water and soup base. Boil slowly for 2 hours. To soup bowl, add 1/4 slice of bread, fill with soup and top with slice of Provolone cheese. The soup will be hot enough to melt the cheese.
