CHILI SAUCE 5 qt. tomatoes, skinned and chopped 2 c. chopped bell peppers 1 1/2 c. chopped onion 3 Tbsp. salt 1 c. sugar Simmer until it thickens and add: 3 c. vinegar 1 tsp. ground cloves 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. allspice Return to simmer until it is desired thickness. Add hot peppers at this time (to taste); about 1 cup for mild sauce.
