CABBAGE AU GRATIN SOUP 2 c. shredded cabbage 1/2 c. finely chopped onion 3 Tbsp. flour 3 Tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. caraway seed 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. paprika 3 c. milk 3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese Saute cabbage and onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour, caraway seed, salt, pepper and paprika. Remove from heat, gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir one minute. Remove from heat and add cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Return to heat if necessary to melt cheese. Do not boil.
