HOMEMADE VEGETABLE SOUP 2 lb. soup bones 3 qt. water 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 bay leaf 1/2 c. diced carrots 1 c. diced potatoes 1 c. diced celery 1 c. peas 1 c. green beans 1 c. lima beans 1/2 c. chopped onions 1 c. shredded cabbage 1 can tomato juice Combine soup bones, water, salt, pepper and bay leaf into kettle and simmer for one hour. Add all the other ingre- dients and cook. Season to taste with salt and pepper (if desired).
