1/2 medium head lettuce
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
3/4 c. onion
1/2 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen green
peas, cooked and drained
1 c. mayonnaise
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar
4 strips bacon crisp, cooked
and chopped (bacon bits)
In a large salad bowl arrange lettuce, celery, peppers,
onions and peas in layers. Spread salad dressing over peas.
Sprinkle with sugar. Then with Cheddar cheese, cover and
refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight. Sprinkle with bacon
bits just before serving.
