unusual pasta salad. The crunchiness of the lettuce delicious-
ly contrasts with the pasta. Makes 4 servings at 55 cents

1 lb. spaghettini
1/4 c. good-quality olive oil
1/4 c. red or white wine
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
8 c. mixed crisp green salad
greens such as bibb,
watercress and arugula,
washed and dried
Cook spaghettini in large pot of boiling salted water
until al dente, firm but tender. Drain. While spaghettini is
cooking, combine olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper in large
bowl. Add lettuce and toss well to combine. Add drained
pasta; toss. Serve immediately.
