VEGETABLE CHEESE SOUP|
2 c. frozen mixed vegetables
1/4 c. margarine or butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
4 oz. American or Cheddar
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. flour
10 3/4 oz. can chicken broth
1/2 tsp. mustard
Add onion to mixed vegetables and cook according to
directions on package; drain. In a small saucepan, melt
butter, stir in flour, salt and pepper. Heat until blended.
Add milk all at once. Cook until thickened, stirring constant-
ly. Add vegetables and remaining ingredients; heat thorough-
ly. We also like to add bacon, ham or sausage.
