CHRISTMAS CABBAGE SALAD (Great Grandma Perkins') 1/2 c. sugar 1 Tbsp. cornstarch 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 (8 1/2 oz.) can pineapple 1/3 c. vinegar 6 c. cabbage 1 apple 1 Tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. dry mustard water 2 eggs, beaten 1 c. miniature marshmallows pecans Combine sugar, cornstarch, pepper, flour, salt and dry mustard in saucepan. Drain pineapple. Add enough water to make 1 1/2 cups juice. Stir juice and vinegar into dry ingredients. Beat eggs. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens; cool well. Toss with cabbage, marshmallows, apple and pineapple. Serve immediately. Makes a large salad.
