HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 6 medium potatoes 1 medium onion, diced 1/2 c. vinegar 1 tsp. freshly ground pepper 1 egg yolk, beaten 1/2 tsp. salt 6 slices bacon, diced 1/2 c. bouillon 1 tsp. sugar 1/8 tsp. curry powder 2 Tbsp. herb vinegar Scrub potatoes and boil jackets. Pare and cut into 1/4 inch slices. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons vinegar and 1/8 teaspoon curry powder. Cook bacon until crisp and add to potatoes. Add onion to drippings, cooking until transparent, then add vinegar, bouillon and seasonings. Let this come to a boil and quickly stir in the egg yolk. Remove from heat and pour over the potatoes.
