METHODIST LAYERED SALAD 1 head lettuce, torn 1 head cauliflower 1 lb. bacon, fried crisp 1 medium red onion, sliced thin 2 c. mayonnaise 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese 1/4 c. sugar salt and pepper to taste Into a 9 x 13-inch glass pan, place a layer of torn lettuce. Add 1/2 head cauliflower, broken into flowerets, 1/2 of bacon, crumbled and 1/2 sliced onion. Dot with 1 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 of the cheese, 2 tablespoons sugar, salt and pepper. Repeat layers. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Toss just before serving. Serves 10 to 12.
