GREAT AUNT MARY'S "HOT SLAW" 1/2 cabbage, shredded 1 egg yolk 1/4 c. cold water 1/4 c. hot vinegar 1 Tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. salt (or less) Mix egg yolk, cold water, hot vinegar, butter and salt in a double boiler. Heat and stir until thick. Add cabbage and reheat. Serve immediately. Yields four servings.
