CONEY ISLAND CHILI FOR HOT DOGS

2 lb. chopped or ground round
steak
1 Tbsp. black pepper
1 Tbsp. salt
3 Tbsp. bacon grease
1/2 green pepper, chopped
parsley to taste
1 large onion, chopped
1 1/2 Tbsp. paprika
2 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
2 to 3 c. tomato juice

Cook onions in bacon grease until soft. Add beef and
brown, beating with potato masher to make fine. Add remaining
ingredients and boil 20 minutes. Let it simmer until juice is
gone. Serve with hot dogs, mustard, and onions.
