FRENCH ONION SOUP|
3 cans beef broth
1 onion, chopped
1 stick butter
Mozzarella or Swiss cheese
croutons or French bread
garlic, salt and pepper to
Brown onion with butter, garlic, salt and pepper; just
enough to soften. Pour in broth and boil, adding water if
necessary. The longer it simmers the better. Pour into bowls
over croutons (or bread); put cheese on top and broil in oven
just long enough to brown cheese.
