VEGETABLE SOUP

1/4 lb. butter
4 potatoes
3 carrots
1/2 head cabbage
3 onions
3 Tbsp. rice or barley
1/2 lb. string beans
1 clove garlic
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. caraway
fresh tomatoes
salt and pepper to taste

Melt 1/4 pound butter in pressure cooker. Saute pota-
toes, carrots, cabbage, onions and beans. Add remaining
ingredients and enough water to cover vegetables. Pressure
cook 10 minutes.
