SLICED TOMATO SALAD

6 large tomatoes, peeled and
thinly sliced
1/2 c. chopped scallions
1/4 c. chopped fresh sweet
basil leaves
1/4 c. wine vinegar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp. Worcestershire
1/2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground black
pepper

Arrange layers of the tomato slices in a serving dish,
sprinkling each layer with scallions and basil. Combine
remaining ingredients by beating or shaking in a jar. Pour
over tomatoes and chill at least one hour, but not overnight.
